Spring is the perfect time to hike in the San Francisco Bay Area.  The hills are green and the wildflowers are popping out everywhere.  The Oakland/Berkeley Hills provide many good walks.  One of my favorites is hiking from Orinda to the tiny, forest-bound community of Canyon (beyond Moraga).  Depending on the route it is about 5 to 7 miles and very peaceful, rarely seeing another hiker.  This is a great walk to break in those legs after a long winter!
